| unbound The Laredo Center for the Arts is proud to present unbound as part of Contemporary Art Month San Antonio. This dynamic group exhibition brings together a diverse roster of artists whose work explores identity, memory, culture, and transformation through bold visual language and material experimentation. Featuring Audrya Flores, Barbara Felix, Crystal Rocha, David Alcantar, Michelle Hernandez, and Lu Farrell, unbound highlights a range of practices from painting and sculpture to mixed media each offering a distinct perspective while collectively creating a vibrant dialogue about contemporary life and creative expression in our region. Curated by Roberta “Nina” Hassele, Executive Director of CAM, the exhibition reflects the spirit of connection and artistic exchange that defines Contemporary Art Month. Through layered narratives, personal symbolism, and imaginative form, unbound invites viewers to reflect on movement into spaces, into identity, and into new ways of seeing. Join us for the opening reception on March 6th from 6–9 PM, with an artist talk by Michelle Hernandez on March 14th from 2–3 PM. The exhibition will remain on view through May 1st. | Community Clay Date: Devil Masks Join us at the Laredo Center for the Arts for a hands-on creative experience during our Community Clay Date series. Led by artist Michelle Hernandez, this special workshop invites participants to explore the art of clay sculpting by creating their own expressive devil masks. Designed for all skill levels, this class offers a welcoming and supportive environment no prior experience required. Participants will learn foundational hand-building techniques while experimenting with form, texture, and character to bring their unique mask to life. All materials are provided, and completed pieces will be professionally fired by the Texas A&M International University Department of Fine and Performing Arts.
